About us

The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Access to Medicines and Medical Devices exists to examine and develop the appraisal, provision, and equality of access to medicines and medical devices in the NHS in England.

The APPG has a long-standing history in Parliament and was previously led by Anne Marie Morris MP’s office under the former government. It has now been formally re-established to continue its vital work in addressing the growing challenges facing patient access to innovative treatments and technologies.

The Group is chaired by Danny Beales MP and is supported by its Secretariat, RPP Group, a specialist healthcare consultancy. The APPG is focused on delivering outcome-driven, practical solutions to current system challenges, including health inequalities, regulatory and appraisal barriers, and wider system pressures affecting timely patient access.

The APPG works closely with an expert panel comprising patient organisations, industry representatives, clinicians, and sponsors of the Group. Together, with the support of the APPG Officers, the panel helps gather key evidence, shape priorities, and drive meaningful issues onto the parliamentary agenda.
